What: Surface Transportation Master Plan

The Town of Oakland and planning consultants from A2H, Inc. will conduct a Public Meeting on August 4th, 2016 in the Board Room of the Oakland City Hall at 6:30 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the Town of Oakland STP Surface Transportation Master Plan. The public will be provided an opportunity to review and discuss the plans which are currently in the preliminary conceptual phase. The Town of Oakland STP Surface Transportation Master Plan is a document that will be used to identify and prioritize improvements to streets and sidewalks and any public area used for surface transportation such as automobiles, pedestrians, and bicycles. The plan will also provide a look at development scenarios along U.S. Hwy 64 and the Oakland Commercial/Downtown Center.

The meeting will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. during which time there will be a presentation and a question and answer period. The public is invited to ask questions and make comments during the meeting and will be given the opportunity to make their opinions known concerning the plans and to present views on any considerations for the plans. Representatives of the City and the design team will be available to answer questions concerning any aspect of the project.
